Timed urbanism – my MSc thesis

I have handed in my MSc in Architecture thesis work called “Timed Urbanism. Designing the transformation of an urban brownfield in Satamaportti, Kotka.” The thesis in published online in Finnish here at Issuu.

Architects Rudanko + Kankkunen became part of Ukumbi

Our two-person team as become part of the Finnish humanitarian architecture NGO Ukumbi. The NGO seeks to mitigate poverty by means of architecture, and it’s founders Jenni, Saija and Helena are our former teachers at Aalto university. Me and Anssi felt that we can best get support and share expertise from project such as Sra Pou vocational school through Ukumbi. Also, Ukumbi will be the background organization in our possible future projects in the field of humanitarian architecture. So now I am a board member of the NGO and we are one of the Ukumbi design teams.
